Man bash wife for resisting his move to bring girlfriend to matrimonial home

A man from Nguboyenja in Bulawayo is in trouble after he allegedly assaulted his wife when she opposed his plans to let his smallhouse move in to live with them at their matrimonial home.
Auto Jiri (41) pleaded guilty to assault when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya. The magistrate convicted and sentenced him to pay a fine of $80 of which failure to pay he was to spend 40 days in jail.
The court heard that on January 2 2017 at 6am Jiri and his wife Blessing Daka (38) were at their home when Jiri asked her that he want to have his girlfriend move in to live with them.
Daka opposed the plan and this angered him and he started assaulting her with open hands. A report made to the police led to his arrest.
