Three unidentified men brandishing iron bars allegedly pounced on Old Citrus Farm, owned by Philip Chiyangwa and got away with goods worth over $2 000 last Thursday.

Mashonaland West provincial spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara confirmed the incident saying the robbery occurred at a house belonging to Chiyangwa's farm manager Justin Tendai Nyamaswe.

Mabgweazara said the suspects broke Nyamaswe's kitchen at around 3am and hooked the keys from outside before unlocking the door while the family was asleep. The allegedly pounced on Nyamaswe, dragged him into the laundry room and locked him up. they then ransacked the house and stole two laptops, three cellphones, clothes and $12 cash.
Nyamaswe later broke loose and reported the matter at Chinhoi rural Police Station.

Mabgweazara said no arrests have been made so far but indicated that investigations were still in progress.
