MDC Alliance duo granted $10,000 bail each

Justice Webster Chinamora has ordered release of MDC Alliance duo Joana Mamombe and Cecilia Chimbiri on $10,000 bail each after hearing arguments by lawyers and NPA.
The judge set aside refusal of bail by magistrate Stanford Mambanje.
The two women had been held for 8 days accused of undermining the authority of the police, this after a traffic light incident where they allegedly shouted at police officers who had detained protesters to let them go before infecting them with Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Petronella Kagonye has also been granted Z$30,000 bail by Harare magistrate Stanford Mambanje after the state did not oppose bail.
She's accused of selling ZB bank land to cooperatives, allocating a farm to a minor and stealing 20 computers donated by POTRAZ.
