Youth elections divide ZANU PF

The rivalry between ZANU PF Mashonaland Central chairperson Kazembe Kazembe and Mazowe District Coordinating Committee (DCC) chairperson Tafadzwa Musarara has escalated following the just ended provincial youth elections.
Musarara's camp managed to win three candidates while Kazembe's camp managed to garner one candidate out of the expected four per province.
Kazembe is allegedly fighting hard to have a rerun of the elections and to get the overall winner Tsungai Makombe disqualified.
Sources within ZANU PF said Kazembe has since called for a Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) meeting tomorrow so as to get his agenda endorsed by the (PEC).
"It is astonishing to note that Kazembe is fighting Makumbe and skimming to have a rerun of the elections so he has called for an emergency meeting tomorrow but why does he have to call for a meeting in 48 hours, it is because he knows that many will fail to attend and his enemy Musarara might not attend too as he is rumoured to be out of the country," the source said.
The camps have been fighting since last year on provincial elections where Kazembe managed to get the chairmanship amid vote rigging alone while Musarara's camp took the youth league and women's league.
However, it remains to be seen if they will be a rerun on provincial youth elections as President Emmerson Mnangagwa refused to have reruns on provincial elections.
Kazembe was also warned by Mnangagwa during his last rally not to oppress people.
Both Kazembe and Musarara could not be reached for comment.
