A health time bomb is looming in a Roman run Mutora clinic which is operating without toilets.
Ironically, a health facility is expected to be exemplary in providing safety health conditions to the community and its patients but this clinic located in Gokwe is run like a beerhall.
Information provided to this publication indicated that the mission clinic's has come of age with only one toilet and a baththroom servicing hundreds of people.
Even this single toilet and bathroom is reportedly having cracks which are a threat to people.
A staff member who talked to Bulawayo24 on conditions of anonymity said it was surprising that the authorities were prioritising the renovation of staff houses ignoring to repair the toilets.
"We are all shocked by the clinic management's priorities. How could they start to renovate these old houses before constructing some toilets", said the staff member.
She further said the clinic is collecting rentals from government houses whuch they renovated last year.
Owing to this development, patients and locals have resorted to using bush toilets.
However, a security guard at the clinic showed some optimism saying the new Sister in Charge only identified as Sister Mulumbe may change things.
"They said we should expect things to change since there is a new nurse in charge called sister Mulumbe,is also a midwife.
"We are looking forward to a new chapter since we have a new boss",said the security guard.
