A 16-year-old girl, Tendai Muyambo Magodo, went missing on Tuesday last week while on her way to school.
According to her father Mr Partson Muyambo Magodo, Tendai was last seen on 8 September by her siblings who saw her depart from Mutezwa Bus Terminus in Chipinge.
"She left for Chimanimani on Tuesday 8 September from Mutezwa Bus Terminus, where her young brothers and sister saw her off. They only left Mutezwa after the kombi had taken off.
"Her grandmother, whom she stays with, was waiting for her in Chimanimani," said Mr Magodo.
Mr Magodo said he learnt of his missing daughter the following day.
"Her grandmother called the following day (Wednesday) asking why she had not turned up the previous day as planned," said Mr Magodo. He said they checked with friends and relatives to no avail.
"We called all friends and relatives looking for her but we could not find her.
"We even asked the kombi driver, but he said that school opening was such a busy day that they didn't remember seeing her," said Mr Magodo.
Tendai is a Form 3 pupil at St Patrick's in Chimanimani and was last seen wearing a maroon skirt, a colourful blouse and black shoes. She had some groceries and a bag of clothes. The case has since been reported to police in Middle Sabi and recorded under number RRB2026237.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts can contact Mr Magodo on 0772694531, 0714400724 or 0733747478 or visit the nearest police station.
