Central Committee (CC) elections in Harare province were marred by violence with central committee member Tendai Savanhu facing allegations of instigating the disturbances.

The violence resulted in elections in Waterfalls being aborted.

The heavy weights to fall in the province were Joseph Macheka and Stalin Mau Mau while suspended ZBC Acting CEO Allan Chiweshe also bit the dust.

Lloyd Bhunu, Endy Mhlanga, Patrick Nyaruwata, Cleveria Chizema, Jackson Maombera, Retired Brigadier General Boniface Hurungudo, Oliver Mandishona, Sabina Thembani, Evermary Marwa, and Justice Zvandasara secured central committee posts.

In Manicaland, the Zanu-PF provincial leadership has nullified the central committee victory of John Chirimambowa (Chipinge) and Freddy Kanzama (Zimunya-Marange) on allegations of being the chief culprits in masterminding the removal of President Robert Mugabe from office.

The two were unceremoniously evicted from the coordination committee meeting after tempers flared.

The province resolved to replace Kanzama with Morton Malianga, while Chirimambowa was replaced by Alice Chitima.

The province also said all the ousted Zanu-PF members should not be allowed to attend the December congress.

This came amid reports that most of the ousted women and youth league members including some rowdy youths who nearly disrupted the First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe's 'Meet The People Tour' had already been accredited.

Still in Manicaland, Oppah Muchinguri and Monica Mutsvangwa together with three others have made it into the central committee following the Zanu-PF women's league Manicaland province elections held in Mutare.

Muchinguri was elected by Mutasa district while Mutsvangwa got the Zimunya-Marange central committee ticket.

Buhera district elected Emelda Gondo while Nyanga voted for Cecilia Maradzamunda.

Mutare district elected Judith Mawire.

Zanu-PF national secretary for security in the women's league Shuvai Mahofa, who presided over the elections, challenged the winners from selling their birth right.

The Minister of State for Manicaland, Chris Mushohwe, called on the women who constitute a bigger percentage of the population to lead in fostering unity.

The Zanu-PF Manicaland women's league also re-affirmed the candidature of President Mugabe as the party's First Secretary and President as well as the First Lady Dr Mugabe to be the secretary for women's league.

Zanu-PF will hold its 6th congress in Harare from the 2nd to the 7th of December.
