Sewage flows into homes

Raw sewage and polluted waste water has been flowing into Harare's Glen View homes for the past three days after incessant rains overloaded the sewer system.

The situation has been particularly unsettling to the score of residents who are braving the unpleasant scenario, with at least 16 families having been affected.

The situation was bad, with children playing in the streets with flies buzzing attracted by the stench.

Resident were angry at the City of Harare with the City fathers accuse residents of using cloth instead of tissue paper and using scouring powder with sand thereby clogging the system.
