The Zimbabwe Republic Police are officially the new boys in town, they have received the new state of the art, VW GTI 2014. Though in stature the new sport car looks small, it's a dynamite when ignited ranking it in the world's fastest cars.
According to a professional review, this new VW dynamite has 25/34 mpg on fuel and takes 5.8 sec on a 220 horse power to reach top speed of 124 mph.
This is the seventh-generation GTI, and the car that invented the hot-hatch segment remains true to its plaid-cloth-upholstered roots. The new model comes in three and five-door hatchback versions; the base engine is a 210-hp upgrade of the 2.0-liter direct-injected turbo four.
VW's dual-clutch automatic is optional, as is a Performance package that nets an extra 10 hp, beefier brakes, and a torque-sensing limited-slip.
US News reviews says They love the standard six-speed manual transmission for its natural clutch feel and say the available six-speed automatic (automated manual) shifts briskly and smoothly. The GTI gets an EPA-estimated 25/34 mpg city/highway, which is good for an upscale small car. Test drivers are amazed by the 2015 GTI's razor-sharp steering and athletic handling, saying it's a blast to drive, particularly on curvy roads. They praise its quiet and balanced ride and say it feels composed, especially when equipped with the available adaptive suspension system.
The ZRP, currently had retired their tired Peugeot 306 and C180 Kompressor with the BMW 335i and the facelifted Mercedes-Benz C350.
As a cost cutting measure, the new GTI will do amazingly lots of torque power for them but with our potholes filled up now, still no one can really do above 140 on our local roads, maybe for the lucky boys in highway patrol, they may actually take advantage of the new lease of power extended to them.
