Vice Emmerson Mnangagwa has come to the defence of underfire Prosecutor General Johannes Tomana saying he cannot be fired over utterances wrongly attributed to him.

Mnangagwa said Tomana had clarified himself on the issue after he said he was misquoted by the media and so they cannot say he committed a crime.

First Lady Grace Mugabe recently launched a stinging attack on Prosecutor General Johannes Tomana labelling him a pedophile after his controversial statements that 12 year old girls consent to sex.

She used graphic language to launch a tirade at men who impregnate underage girls and reserved most of her venom for the under fire Tomana.

Grace called for the immediate sacking of Tomana saying he was like a rapist who had no respect for women.
