A man was found dead along Stoney Road in Greencroft, Harare today, a few metres from the scene where a woman was also found dead on Sunday this week.
When the ZBC News arrived, police details were already at the scene while some residents from the neighbourhood were trying to seek authority from the officers to identify the deceased.
The body had bruises on the face and what appeared to be a deep cut on the eye.
Pastor Clato Makado, who stays a few metres from where the body was found, said he got the news of the corpse from people who were taking their routine morning exercise.
National Police Spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said investigations are underway although they suspect that the man collapsed while jogging.
In another case, a corpse of a middle aged man was found hanging from a Marula a tree near Kelvin North industrial area in Bulawayo today.
Residents of nearby suburb suspect the hanging could be an attempt to cover up a murder.
The ZBC News discovered a wire left dangling on a nearby tree, raising questions on whether there was an attempt to hang the body.
People who gathered to see the body said they were convinced it was not a suicide given that there were no signs of any struggle.
The other issue that raised suspicions was that tree branches were at shoulder level to the body showing that the man could have saved himself by holding on to the branches.
The ZBC News further observed that the area had not been cordoned off to facilitate proper police investigations and despite the availability of two police details, people were still milling around tempering with the crime scene.
By noon the body was still hanging from the tree despite the scene being less than two kilometres from West Commonage Police Station.
Latest statistics given to the ZBC News by police show that nine cases of suspected murders have been recorded in the past two weeks.
