Former MDC-T MP Jameson Timba has said when the opposition party was telling the war veterans and those now in the ZimPF that police were partisan they were refusing to listen and following their (ZimPF and war vets) assault by the police it must be clear to them that they are now equal to MDC-T before the police button stick.
Timba's remarks come in the wake of police having dispersed the war veterans meetings using tear gas and water cannons, while also ZimPF supporters were pelted with stones by suspected Zanu PF youths while at a rally in Harare recently.
"We told them that Zanu-PF was unpopular and as a result violent and that the Police was partisan-they did not listen. Now the MDC-T, People First and the War Veterans are now all equal before the button stick," Timba said.
