Harare woman wanted for $800k fraud

The Zimbabwe Republic Police is seeking information leading to the arrest of a 32 year old Harare woman, Kudakwashe Unity Mhike, who is wanted in connection with a case of fraud involving over US$800 000.
ZRP national spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said Mhike who was employed as a junior book keeper by Ram Petroleum issued Ram credit cards to her accomplice, Taurai Makumbe a 37 year old adult without following the correct procedures.
Senior Assistant Commissioner Charamba said Makumbe who has since been arrested and is in remand used the credit cards to draw fuel valued at US$796 025 from Ram Petroleum Service Stations.
She said the suspect would then misrepresent to her employer that the customer had deposited cash with the company, when there was no such cash deposits.
Senior Assistant Commissioner Charamba said as a result of the misrepresentation Ram Petroleum suffered an actual prejudice of US$796 025 and a potential prejudice of US$22 494.
Mhike's last known address is Number 6 Zermatt Court, Kamfinsa, Harare.
The police are appealing for anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mhike to contact CID Serious Fraud Squad on 04-758654, Detective Sergeant Manyere on 0784 043 213 or National Complaints Desk on 04 703631.
