Dynamos superstition could not save them from defeat on Sunday to Highlanders.

Their players reportedly refused to take to the field for a traditional warm up using official entry point.

Instead, they chose to use Wings' stand close to the Mpilo End which houses their supporters.

"Not even refusing to use the official entry into the Barbourfields Stadium turf in a suspected case of superstition could save Dynamos" Chronicle reported.

"When the Harare giants disembarked from their team bus at the stadium, they refused to go into the field via their dressing room, and instead went through the Wings' stand close to the Mpilo End.

Highlanders' players were not distracted by Dynamos' superstitious beliefs as they gave their all and fought for maximum points".

The defeat could have ended their title hopes.

Even in the unlikely scenario that they win all their remaining seven matches, it is almost impossible for Dynamos to come back from this.

A massive 12 points separate them from log leaders FC Platinum, on 47 points, with bitter city rivals Caps United in second place on the league table with 46 points, while Highlanders are third with 41 points.
