A BINGA man who raped a minor exposed himself when he asked the father for his Grade Seven daughter's hand in marriage.
This was heard by regional magistrate Mrs Dambudzo Malunga during the initial appearance of Organicmatter Munkombwe, who was not asked to plead.
According to the prosecutor, Mr Twanda Sigauke, on an unknown date but during the month of August 2014 Munkombwe proposed to the 12-year-old pupil but was turned down.
Undeterred, Munkombwe soldiered on until she accepted his advances and without wasting time later that night he went to her homestead where he found her sleeping alone.
He joined her in her blankets before enjoying sex with her once. After the act he expressed his undying love for the minor before promising to marry her as soon as she completed her Grade Seven.
The following night he went over to her homestead where he told her that he wanted to have sex with her but she refused.
However, he would have none of it and had sex with her once.
On another occasion during the same month of August he repeated the same feat but the matter came to light when he asked her father for her hand in marriage.
The father then questioned his daughter before filing a police report.
The trial continues on 20 January.
