A GWERU Commuter omnibus driver allegedly offered an 18-year-old vagrant accommodation at his house before collecting his sperms that he stored in a bottle after masturbating him, a court heard.

Edson Nkiwane of Mkoba Village Four pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated indecent assault when he briefly appeared before Gweru magistrate Mildred Matuvi.

Nkiwane was remanded out of custody on free bail and the state indicated that it would proceed by way of summons.

He portrayed himself as a Good Samaritan who had only offered the man of no fixed abode accommodation.

"Your worship l didn't masturbate him as he claims. I only took him home where l ordered him to bath and offered him clean clothes and a room to sleep. I didn't masturbate him neither did l collect his sperms using a bottle," he said.

Prosecutor, Bernard Nyoni, told the court that on September 14 this year, Nkiwane took the vagrant to his house in Mkoba Village Four.

Nkiwane allegedly ordered him to take a bath before giving him clean clothes and a room to sleep.

"While the complainant was asleep and on different occasions, Nkiwane allegedly masturbated the complainant and collected his sperms into a container without his consent," he said.

In the past there have been reports of women who allegedly pounced on hitchhikers and later collected their sperms for ritual purposes.

In 2011, three Gweru women were arrested after they were caught at a roadblock with 31 semen-containing condoms.

The three, Rosemary Chakwizira, 24, Sophie Nhokwara, 26, and Netsai Nhokwara, 24, all of Mkoba Village Four, faced 17 counts of aggravated indecent assault but were acquitted due to lack of evidence.
