A tourist visiting the resort Victoria falls committed suicide by hanging himself on the roof of a chalet on Friday.
The tourist believed to be in his early 60s is believed to have taken his life on Friday evening. Police confirmed the incident but said personal details of the tourist would only be revealed when they have completed investigations.
The body was then taken to Victoria Falls District hospital mortuary. The tourist's body was discovered by staff members from the house keeping department who wanted to clean the chalet.
It is said that the cleaner looked for keys to the chalet but could not find them. Guests are supposed to leave the keys at the reception when going out. The cleaner reportedly used a spare key to open the chalet only to discover the man hanging.
