Matabeleland at a dangerous crossroad

We are a country that is deeply divided along tribal lines which is a sad development indeed. In Kenya just like here in Zimbabwe people vote along tribal lines. We have seen 98 percent of the Kikuyu tribe in Kenya voting for their own Uhuru Kenyatta just because he is a Kikuyu. We are lagging behind in terms of development in the continent because of tribalism. But who are to blame for this?
The answer is crystal clear our own leaders are the one who are to blame for this because they encourage this for them to continue their grip on power. This has created tribal tension the world over from the Kurdistan in Iraq down to the Mthwakazi nation in Zimbabwe. If you walk around the streets of Johannesburg in South Africa in every corner you will almost find Zimbabweans discussing political events back home. If you listen to most of their conversations especially those speaking Ndebele or Kalanga you will realise that they are fade up with both ZANU PF and MDC and they now want a new political landscape back home.
ZANU PF ruled Matebeleland with ZAPU up until the turn of the century. Truth be told ZANU PF's rule in Matebeleland was not perfect but they respected the Ndebele speaking locals, apart from Gukurahundi madness the Shona hegemony in ZANU PF never imposed or brought Shona speaking MPs from Mashonaland to represent Ndebele speaking locals just like what MDC has done.
2000 came MDC to Matebeleland and the number of Shona speaking people surged to record levels. We have many educated people in Matebeleland but they are being forced out of Matebeleland because of Shona invasion, nepotism from the Shona speaking is the root cause of this.
2010 came local boys in the political landscape the MTHWAKAZI parties who preaches for the separation of Matebeleland from Zimbabwe. Initially they were seen as tribal chancers but now almost 70 percent of people in Matebeleland are supporting the the idea of Mthwakazi parties. The fact that Mthwakazi agenda is led by young and vibrant leaders has seen the large numbers of youths especially in South Africa joining them. You can't ignore facts forever my country is facing a tribal catastrophe. Next up are Karangas who are fade up of Zezeru hegemony and they are pushing Mnangagwa and Tsvangirai and of late we have been hearing of Masvingo and Midlands talking of their sovereignty.
The country is on a knife edge and our corrupt leaders are not helping the situation at all. Matebeleland leaders in Zanu PF are worsening the situation because they are only thinking for themselves not the people. Interesting times are ahead.
