Bulawayo Provincial Affairs Minister, mama Angeline Masuku you have identified the problem that the councillors are stifling investment in Bulawayo. Have you found their reasons for stifling projects in Bulawayo? What is their motive? What do they gain by killing Bulawayo? Do they really see the impact they are causing to us the poor community? Silambile thina.
Minister, you should use your powers to break the barriers. I do not have to remind you on that. Its your job. Mama nceda abantu obameleyo. Bulawayo need investment, please! Nip the corruption in the bud! Be it nepotism, bribery or any other please use a bulldozer to remove all those boulders on the road to development. Sikhathele! Kuzekube nini sikhala! You are the minister, I am not. You have the Powers and all the Channels in your disposal. Use them. Take action...tough action against anti-investment agents. Bulawayo was an industrial hub, you know that. Everybody knows that fact.
The death of the industries in Bulawayo is still a sore wound in some of us who are pro-development, and in all our endeavours we try to resuscitate the City to be better than what it was before. Now here you have identified one cause that is holding back project development, then you must ..actually, you ought to use your maximum power to rid off all those who are allergic to development. No politicking needed here. Our children and grandchildren are all over the world because there are no jobs. Some of them are now coming back to invest. Again they are sent from pillar to post. What for? This is revolting!
However, I do believe all political parties have one thing in common: [investment and development among all communities.] I believe this is what they all strive for. One of the major problem among political parties is how to outsmart each other so as to appear more pro-peoples needs. Minister, I would hate you to the core of my heart if you are politicking by stressing that the MDC councillors are stifling investment in Bulawayo. And that you have even put it to Mayor Martin Moyo. What action did the Mayor took? Did you bring a solution to him? Maybe he needs one. Did you follow up? I feel you should. If not, why? If yes, what then was the action taken either by you or the mayor? Bulawayo is desperately in need of investment. Please mama minister and lawe baba mayor unhook all the investment blocking barriers. Do you really understand how painful it is to some of us to see Bulawayo being ruined, trashed and sidelined? Go to Belmont. Its a sorry sight. Yet they are people who have the audacity to put Bulawayo on a snail train driven by backward-looking chameleons. How dare people can suppress progressive entrepreneurs in our City! Speed up! Vula amasango. We need councilors and officers with the heart and spirit to develop our Bulawayo.
I have also noticed that Bulawayo is only given a lip-service by gimmick political parties for political gains. Asifuni amadlwane! It pains to see high profile people using Bulawayo as a fertile field where they would spew their gimmick political vomitus on us. Less talk because we know what is needed, and more Action to fulfil our needs. Hit the ground running! Tangible action is needed in our beloved Bulawayo.
