Jezebel and the ivory attraction

27 Mar 2018 at 03:26hrs | Views
Jezebel and the ivory attraction, what insatiable desire for more and more. To call it avarice may not give a clear picture, maybe a combo of kleptomania and avarice.

Indeed the African elephant is big and very strong, not only that, it's also very dangerous. But remember, the man was granted power over the animal kingdom. A hundred elephants died of poisoning under unclear circumstances, as for poachers, I shall not speak.

The effort and courage of the poachers meant a ready and very lucrative market. The former Emperor saw no evil and spoke no evil, Jezebel had become the de facto Empress. Indeed power is sweet, not only power but absolute power. Even the elephants never saw it coming, I mean the poison and the poacher, forget about the 'exporter'.

Indeed the Look East Policy was real after all the wise men came from the east, yes East. If wisdom was from the East even good money can be from there. Who can blame her, remember ebony and ivory monetary attraction? Ivory makes good carvings and nice ornamental knife handles. Some orders may be pending, why throw spanners in the ivory trade routes?

Jezebel may be holding onto some Pro-forma invoices yet some 'ungrateful' citizens are raising a red flag. Have you forgotten black empowerment or who have forgotten black empowerment, cry the beloved African elephants? Big is good.
