The pain

Zimbabweans are generally known or referred to as patient, polite, soft, dignified …… bunch of people. Even when one takes too much advantage of these good characteristics sometimes we forgive and let it go but there is a time when its just too much. And ZANU PF has taken these traits of the general populace for granted for far too long. We cannot take it anymore. We are hungry, we are poor, and continue to get poorer each day as it passes. The little we save, they come and take. How should we survive? Why should we pay for their comfort? It is you ZANU PF that is rich from exploding our natural resources and pocketing the dividends that we were and we are suppose to share. You destroy the economy single handedly and yet we have to suffer to rebuild while you watch and smile with your fatty asses.
No, you cannot continue to do this to us. It is pain staking. You control the corruption by being their Mafia king, you control the black market by being the biggest exchanger and profiteer, you control the fuel stations and lie in our faces that we have shortage while you channel it for selling on the blackmarket, and you use this to robe us more by increasing the fuel price. Why? Why you cannot get enough of our blood and suffering. We demonstrate to show our unhappiness and that we see what you are doing and we don't accept it. You in turn torture us, while your leader pretends to be the innocent dude hiding behind his finger. Unfortunately we do see him very well for his body is bigger than his tiny finger. Stop torturing people, stop raping women, stop abuse of children, return men back to their families, STOP abuse of power and STOP pretending to be unaware of your command. You are guilty of crimes against humanity - committed before and just recently.
We cannot be a people of sorrow and struggle everyday of our lives. We say no with a loud voice. We cry everyday of what you put us through- hunger, torture and huge lack of leadership. Seriously, a dedicated administration cannot control corruption, black market and this artificially created fuel shortage. This is unheard of. We deserve better leadership and better lives. We are a hard working nation and we have been turned into bee workers just to feed ZANU PF's fat pockets and continued abuse of the resources we ought to benefit to uplift our lives and the nation at large.
We mourn our loss of our own international hero, a father, a husband, a legendary artist, a man who in our lowest point we turn to listen to his music for comfort, Dr. Mtukudzi. May his should rest in peace. That example of the life he lived and the love he poured upon Zimbabwe and beyond is what people should be learning. In particular those selfish undemocratic rulers. This era is for moving forward and not to drag us back to the past. No one should kill or be killed in a democratic and peaceful protests, which our constitution guarantees. We have the right to speak and demand our rights and the government has the obligation to listen and act for the benefit of the people to promote peace and tranquility in this lovely Zimbabwe.
The past days have not been easy on our nation from vast fuel increase and consequently food prices, torture by the police and soldiers and an irresponsible government that shows failure to prioritize and protect our rights and further to this pain, the loss of Tuku. We mourn even deeper wishing that Tuku should have sang one more song to instill hope that we will be ok one day- Help us Lord!
