Not too late for Mnangagwa's Zanu-PF to reform

FROM the look of things, it is not too late for Zimbabwe to fix the challenges she is facing.
It would seem solutions proffered do not favour the Zanu-PF government, but one way or the other, it has to be a painful journey if we are to prosper again.
Government institutions and State-owned enterprises need to reclaim their independence, albeit under the watchful eye of overseers.
The military has to go back to the barracks, and instead, concentrate on rebuilding communities such as Ngangu, Jopa and Skyline, which were destroyed by Cyclone Idai early last year.
The police force should also go back to the basics and discharge its duties in a respectable manner.
The Central Intelligence Organisation should look after the interest of the country and not be captured by a particular political formation.
It should respect human rights and stop abducting and torturing those who oppose government.
The Judiciary should be given its independence. Looters should be locked up. The catch and release game should come to an end.
Parliament should give the opposition breathing space.
Out electoral bodies should work without interference.
The solution is inclusive institutions that work by extension that means a future without oppressive individuals.
