Zimbabwe needs a new leader
2 hrs ago | Views

Mnangagwa has turned into our modern-day Vasco da Gama, globetrotting from one nation to another and signing fruitless mega deals while the vast mass of Zimbabweans live in extreme poverty.
It has been extremely difficult to live under the corrupt Zanu-PF government. The country is not going anywhere under this kind of leadership.
Due to the economic misery that is currently plaguing Zimbabwe, millions of Zimbabweans, especially professionals in the engineering, tertiary, medical, and other sectors, have been compelled to leave the nation. They now work at low-paying jobs to make ends meet.
Because of this brain drain, Zimbabwe has been losing out. We are veering off course rather than making progress. The entire world now laughs at Mnangagwa's government. His administration is riddled with ineptitude and corruption.
A recent example of laxity when it comes to significant growth in the nation is the dilapidated train from the 1960s that was purchased by the former Ian Smith dictatorship and restored by Mnangagwa's new republic.
Our train is far from world-class, even though sophisticated technology is on exhibit everywhere. Zimbabwe can certainly strive further than cramming outdated, uncomfortable sofas into a compartment and calling it "luxury", even though it's encouraging to see trains being revived.
While we wind up with a moving lounge and curtains, other nations are investing in safe design, current technology, and true innovation. If we want to compete on the international scene, we truly need visionary leadership. We have allowed mediocrity a great deal of space.
Zanu-PF's actions have repeatedly made us a laughing stock around the world. Even if you live abroad, you may occasionally run with other Africans who want to know what's going on in this teapot of a nation. The regime does it with the accuracy of a machinist and doesn't even care. It doesn't even know that everyone is looking at it.
Zimbabwe now needs a strong, serious leader who will take immediate action against corruption, revitalise the economy, and provide quality services. A leader who must bridge the divide and bring together people of various political persuasions.
