MDC-T responsible for the bad state of the economy

There was a clear-cut display of buffoonery by the opposition law-makers that booed and heckled President Robert Mugabe, over the poor state of the economy, as he delivered the state of the nation address in Parliament this week. Are these law-makers suffering from amnesia? MDC is the prime cause of this sad economic calamity bedeviling this country. They campaigned vigorously by advocating for the imposition of sanctions against this country by the western imperialistic forces a few years ago.
The one and decades long sanctions deprived the nation of about US$50 billion in terms of revenue. This accelerated the rate at which the economy fell. This had the ripple effect of crumpling the smooth functioning of the productive sectors of the economy, particularly the industries in the manufacturing divisions. This led to an acute recession which ultimately resulted in company closures and lay-offs of employees. This created massive unemployment levels which affected the most ordinary persons in society.
Assuming that, this lost revenue was ploughed or re-invested into the economy, would the economy be in this sorry state as we witness today? Certainly not! The same people who advocated for sanctions are the same people screaming loudest than anyone else over their own blunderous and disastrous creation.
It is shameful on the part of such irresponsible citizens who are heartless and thoughtless to this predicament which pushing every nationality to the verges of abject poverty as well as threatening to collapse the nation.
Zimbabwe needs hyper-active minds which can work to rescue the nation from further slump into mud as was ill fully programmed by opposition forces in this country. The Zanu-PF Government should be recommended strongly for managing to survive in the trying times when the local adversaries teamed up with our erstwhile foreign enemies to stifle national interest. These selfish personalities were only propelled by the insatiable desire to attain power through dirty means. They chose to subject ordinary citizens to this callous suffering emanating from the effects of illegal sanctions slapped onto the country.
This week, Zimbabwe got a new lease of life when he delivered the state of the nation address in Parliament were he gave the ten-point plan poised for economic growth which is expected to turn-around the local economy soon.
Unity is the corner-stone of success and development everywhere. Therefore, let's all unite and confront our national problems as a formidable force as opposed to throwing spanners to matters that affect everyone in a ridiculous manner as evidenced by the opposition MPs in parliament.
