US agenda exposed

It is actually a shame how the US are continuing to worsen the development of Zimbabwean economy through their illegal sanctions. Economic sanctions were imposed on Zimbabwe in 2003 after the US government falsely accused some of the country's policies saying there were enacted to undermine democratic institutions and processes in Zimbabwe. However, the US illegal economic sanctions were inflicted so as to cause an economic damage on our beloved country.
The US has recently added two Zimbabwean fertilizer companies on the list of economic sanctions. The US government is quite aware that Zimbabwe is an agro-based economy which depends more on agriculture than other economic sections. The reason why they decided to add fertilizer companies on the list of sanctions is because they knew if fertilizer companies are sanctioned they will seriously disturb the economic turnaround of the nation.
It is a shame that, the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control has put Chemplex Holdings and Zimbabwe Fertilizer Company which are owned by the Industrial Development Corporation of Zimbabwe (IDCZ) on its sanctions list.
Sanctioning fertilizer companies is a big threat to food security in the country. For instance, the companies will not be able to order raw materials or spare parts from abroad, a thing that will affect the firm's performance. Surely the decision by the US to impose sanctions on those two fertilizer companies shows that they have an agenda of destabilizing the economy of Zimbabwe.
Some previous reports claimed that the illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe were targeting individuals not the entire country. This has been proved wrong by the recent negative developments where fertilizer companies are also sanctioned.
In simple terms, the US agenda is now exposed as the heat of sanctions is being felt by every Zimbabwean. It's actually a shame that the opposition MDC-T, are supporting the West in worsening the situation in Zimbabwe. It is the MDC-T that called for the illegal economic sanctions, moreover, advancing them through calling for EU to prevent Zimbabwe from accessing international financial assistance. All they want is to see Zimbabweans suffering. It's a shame that the MDC-T is equally happy with the economic challenges experiencing that Zimbabwe is currently.
Also, the Zimbabwe Democracy and Economy Recovery Act (ZDERA), law enacted by the U.S. Congress in 2001 restricts the United States to vote in support of assistance to Zimbabwe from international financial institutions (IFI's). What exactly does the US want to achieve in enacting such a repressive law? The US should be urged to go back to the drawing board and revise some of its repressive laws for the betterment of Zimbabweans. Truth be said, the laws enacted by US against Zimbabwe are inhuman and needs to be discouraged.
It really boggles the mind how countries with big economies suppresses economies of developing countries. Furthermore, the US Department of treasury fined $2.5 million to Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe for assisting Industrial Development Corporation of Zimbabwe with its monetary transactions?
When clearly tracing the US's objective, one can easily tell that there is nothing other than stifling the activities and achievements of the economic blueprint Zim-Asset. All they want is to frustrate the Zimbabwean government with the intention of inciting the generality of the people to revolt against its own government. But alas, people of Zimbabwe are educated, they are aware that the challenges that are currently facing the nation are a result of economic sanctions that were imposed on Zimbabwe by both the European Union and US.
