Newly elected Mazowe North MP advocate Martin Dinha is said to have won the election and varnished under ZANU PF ticket. People in Mazowe North Feel robed of their votes as not one promise has materialised so far.Dinha who is still the minister of state for Mashonaland Central won in July.

The MP was endorsed by president Mugabe after Edgar Chidavaenzi had died mysteriously in a hotel room.Dinha who promised to refurbish Pembi bridge in Mvurwi was voted into power and people were made to believe that the bridge would be complete in eight months' time since he said the government had injected US1,8 million through the ministry of Transport and infrastructure development.

During his campaign, a lot of ministers thronged Mvurwi with promises of development Minister of local government Saviour Kasukuwere also promised residential stands together with Minister Joram Gumbo also supported by Minister Thabita Kanengoni. So far they have only cleared grass and put a construction sign post. Youths were promised jobs and residential stands if they vote for him.

When contacted for comment Dinha said the election is over and government projects take time to materialise.

"Look here my brother election is over and kuvaka bridge kumusha these government projects take long shallow minds will think it is easy but people shall be silenced when these projects are over sanctions are biting but will do it slowly ," lamented Dinha. The MP was nicknamed Chibaba chedevelopment during the campaign and he promised to throw a party in every district if he overcome his then rival Renewal Democrats of Zimbabwe (RDZ) member ELIUS Malukula aka "Hwindi Muchawa" who is a rank marshal at Mvurwi hospital. Despite the loss Malukula is still campaigning and has told people to take heed of big names like minister Dinha who have nothing to deliver other than their big names. "I would like to thank all the members who voted for me as they did it with their own heart unlike ZANU PF who forced people in farms to attend meetings or would face the ugly side of the ruling party. I am making my corrections and come 2018 we are taking that seat because people have seen that it is only a name with nothing to deliver," said Hwindi Muchawa.

Meanwhile,MDC-T who did not field a candidate demanding electoral reforms spoke to Bulawayo. 24 about the matter through their provincial youth chairman Tonde Samhu who promised to stage a demonstration on the bridge if it is not complete by March 2017. "We are tired of these empty promises everyone who campaigns talks of refurbishing the bridge after winning they varnish so, this time, it is a different story we are giving Dinha up to December if he does not stick to his promise we are going to stage a demonstration right on the bridge it is high time Mvurwi starts to develop since it is now a town," fumed Samhu. The bridge has been the cause of fatal accidents since 1977. However, the campaign team did their party in the constituency and the MP's office in Mvurwi has since been closed since Dinha resides in Bindura and for one to see or pass a grievance has to travel to the provincial capital Bindura.
