Netone fails to congratulate in Ndebele

It is cause for concern when the leading Zimbabwean Communications companies fail to communicate with the people that give them business and money.
Netone posted an advert on the Sunday News of 14 - 20 December 2014 in Page 5 where they were congratulating winners of their promotion. Glaringly is that the company wrote a congratulations statement in 3 languages, English, Shona and Ndebele. Of the 3 languages, Ndebele is the only one that was wrongly spelt.
The company wrote "Congratulations, Makorokoto, Amuhlope" and they failed to write the Ndebele word correctly as it should have read "Amhlophe". The major question to Netone is of the 3 languages used why the mistake with the Ndebele language? Doesn't the company employ Ndebele people who could have proofread the statement before publishing?
This is not the first time when a mobile operator writes wrong Ndebele spellings as Telecel Zimbabwe also has a billboard in Plumtree which has Ndebele spelling mistake.
It is but prudent for Telecel and Netone to issue public statements rectifying this abnormality and committing to do things properly in the future because the mistakes were also made at the public forum.
