Chicken Inn  1 - 1 Harare City
Harare City further dropped points when they were held to a draw by home side Chicken Inn in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Luveve Stadium yesterday.

A rare strike from Chicken Inn defender Moses Jackson early into the second half cancelled out Nathan Ziwini's first half goal for the travellers. Chicken Inn wasted numerous goal-scoring opportunities, the chief culprit being the league's top goalscorer, Tendai Ndoro, who is back at his former club on loan from South African side Mpumalanga Black Aces.

It was the visitors who took the lead 21 minutes into the match. Skipper Godfrey Nguwodzawo exchanged passes with Silas Songani who crossed the ball for an unmarked Ziwini outside the box and he unleashed a powerful shot which gave Chicken Inn goalkeeper Njabulo Nyoni no chance.

Five minutes later, Nguwodzawo saw his attempt at goal go over the bar.

As Harare City continued with their first half dominance, Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe had his free kick punched out for a corner by Nyoni three minutes before the break.

As action moved to the other end, Canaan Nkomo shot wide for Chicken Inn.

To summarise the gloomy first half for the Gamecocks, their star player, Kudakwashe Mahachi, was shown a yellow card by referee Thomas Massa for going down too easily under challenge from a Harare City defender in the box in a bid to win himself a penalty.

Chicken Inn started the second half with more purpose and it did not take time for them to find the equaliser.

Six minutes after the break, Chicken Inn were awarded a free kick on the left side which was taken by Clemence Matawu.

The ball was met by defender Charles Mutero who headed it down to present Jackson with an easy task of tapping the ball into the back of the net.

Warriors player Songani was also booked by Massa for diving four minutes before he was pulled out for Osborne Mukuradare.

The miss of the day came from Ndoro when he was sent through by substitute Lenience Mpofu.

Ndoro, working his way past the Harare City defenders and with goalkeeper Maxwell

Nyamupangedengu at his mercy, the country's leading goalscorer unbelievably shot wide and the two teams shared the spoils.
