Bulawayo Junior League weekend report

Makhandeni City Pirates collected maximum points against Magwegwe North based BSE Academy when they won 2-0 in the under 14s, 2-1 in the under 16s before rounding off an impressive day in office with a clinical 2-0 win in the under 18s. The impressive run by Makhandeni meant that the Emakhanden i based side maintained their lead in the under 14s log standings to relegate Highlander s ,Bantu Rovers and Ajax Hotspurs down the perking order.

Ajax Hotspurs School of Soccer Excellence could only flatter to deceive as they were walloped 1-0 and 2-1 in the under14s and under 16s before getting some measure of revenge with a 9-0 thrashing of Magwegwe based side. The loss in the under 16s saw Ajax surrender their lead to Highlander s on goal difference .

Highlander s bounced back from an astonishing loss to Bantu Rovers with a clean sweep in all age groups as they thrashed hapless Pumula East Academy side. The East boys were no match for Bosso side who were eager to bounce back from an energy sapping loss. In other matches played around the city, impressive Famona based FMH side were once again derailed. This meant that they lost their place to Ajax Hotspurs who moved to 3rd position. The drumstick boys lost in the under 14s and 16s before winning their final match of the day 2-0 in the under 18s against Eddie Mukahanana 's E.M Sports Academy
