A 50-YEAR-OLD Bulawayo woman who has been denying her husband conjugal rights for the past eight years, forcibly grabbed his private parts and tore his pants over his failure to pay maintenance.
Virginia Ncube of Makokoba appeared before magistrate Evelyn Mashavakure after her husband, Augustine Mlotshwa, approached the court seeking a protection order against her.
Mlotshwa told the court that his wife was very abusive and she had developed a tendency of embarrassing him in front of his two children, workmates and neighbours.
"She is accusing me of failing to pay maintenance. Some of the children which she is asking me to maintain are not even mine. The day she grabbed my private parts I felt as if they were plugged out. I almost died. I no longer trust her anymore," said Mlotshwa.
"My wife has gone violent and is abusing me. She tore my clothes and had deprived me my conjugal rights from 2007 to date. She once humiliated me at my workplace. She came to my workplace on 24 June this year and spilt chillies in my eyes. My wife does not also allow me to own cellphones. She is so evil to an extent that she takes away blankets from me during the night."
Mlotshwa also told the court that his wife had eroded his dignity and pleaded with the court to help him regain his dignity by ordering her to stop being violent when solving issues.
His wife denied the allegations. She insisted that her husband was fabricating issues.
