The drama of young married woman who sold her body for $3 to a neighbour took a new twist at Chief Makope's court in Chiweshe, Mashonaland Central province on Sunday.
According to Chief's guard, Simon Chisowa (17) was supposed to be paid his four goats by Shadreck Chindori (29) for sleeping with his 22 year old wife.
It is alleged Chisowa turned violent on the village court under the influence of alcohol and he damaged the windscreen of Chindori's car prompting Makope's guards to apprehend him before surrendering him to Chombira police.
Chisowa is being charged with malicious damage of property and was remanded in custody to Friday the 2nd of December by Bindura magistrate.
Makope's guard said Chisowa was barbaric as he failed to receive his payment judged on 8 November by Chief.
"We were surprised to see Chisowa turning violent on the date of payment instead he should have turned violent on 8 November when he first appeared in court.
The young man was drunk so he ended up committing a criminal offence currently he is on remand over his foolishness and drunkenness," explained the source.
Cases of civil court that end up being criminal cases are mushrooming in Mashonaland Central province due to lack of understanding from both ends and a lot of people are being sent to jail on issues emanating from petty issues.
