Army helicopters sent to Tsholotsho

Army helicopters have been dispatched into Tsholotsho after the region became flooded since the start of Cyclone Dineo.
One of the two Air Force helicopters in Tsholotsho deployed today to rescue at least 50 families marooned by floods in Ward 6 was seen hoovering above.
Scores of residents were left stranded after they were Tsholotsho was flooded and we hereby release disturbing images showing their plight.
The local MP, Professor Jonathan Moyo confirmed that local rescue units are currently attending to the matter.
"The Mat North & Tsholotsho Civic Protection Units in coordination with the National CPU are currently seized with the emergency situation in Ward 6 in Tsholotsho to provide the needful to affected households," he said in on of his tweets.
Temporary tented shelter was set up for villagers at Sipepa (Ward 5) in Tsholotsho.
Details of immediate needs are being worked out by the Tsholotsho Civic Protection Unit & should be available for sharing anytime today.
National, Provincial and the Tsholotsho CPUs with NGOs are helping at least 50 families affected by flooding in Ward 6.
There is massive crop destruction in the area.
