CAPS United unveils US$4.3 million sponsorship

Harare football , minnows CAPS United have landed a significant financial boost, unveiling a US$4.3 million sponsorship deal with Green Dollar Development Bank.
The three-year agreement, set to begin in January 2026, will see CAPS United receive US$1.1 million annually, alongside two luxury buses as part of the sponsorship package.
Green Dollar Development Bank, headquartered in Lesotho, stated that the partnership is part of its broader strategy to establish a presence in Zimbabwe's financial sector.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, CAPS United president Farai Jere described the deal as a landmark moment for the club.
"It's a big boost for us, and it is the beginning. We have many sponsors that want to come on board, and this has opened the way. Green Dollar Bank is taking the front of our jersey, and other sponsors will come and take the back and sleeves of our jersey. As a club, we are very grateful to have this new deal," Jere said.
The sponsorship is expected to ease the club's financial pressures and enhance its competitiveness in the domestic league, offering a vital lifeline as CAPS United looks to strengthen its position in Zimbabwean football.
