The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zimbabwe Football Association) has confirmed that the national men's football team, the Warriors, will compete in the Unity Cup 2026, a four-nation international tournament scheduled for 26–30 May at The Valley in London.

The tournament will feature Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Jamaica, and India, and marks a historic milestone for the Warriors, who will be competing in England in this format for the first time. The competition returns to The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic F.C., where it was last staged in 2004, and is designed as a celebration of football, culture, and diaspora identity.

According to ZIFA, Zimbabwe will face Nigeria in the opening semi-final on 26 May, while Jamaica take on India on 27 May. The winners will meet in the final on 30 May, with all matches scheduled for 7:30pm kick-off.

ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi described the tournament as a key step in the country's football development, saying it reflects Zimbabwe's ambition to compete at higher international levels.

Warriors head coach Marian Marinica welcomed the opportunity, calling it an important platform for the team to test itself against diverse opposition. Team captain Marvelous Nakamba also expressed pride in representing Zimbabwe in front of the diaspora community in the United Kingdom.

The Warriors head into the competition with growing confidence following a strong showing at the Mukuru Four Nations Tournament in Botswana, where they performed well against regional opposition.

ZIFA has urged Zimbabweans in the UK and across the diaspora to rally behind the team, with tickets for the tournament starting from £18.
