Parliament seeks to ban Gumbura's church

A parliamentary thematic committee on Gender and Development says RMG End Time Message church should be banned following the incarceration of its founder, Robert Gumbura, found guilty of five counts of rape.

Chief Musarurwa, who is a member of the committee, questioned Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe why the church was still operational despite all evils associated with it.

In his response to legislators, ACCZ president, Johannes Ndanga, said the church now had a new leader with a doctrinal background resembling that of the End Times Message, but not of the same disposition as Gumbura.
