The collective fear of all Zimbos has reached frightening levels: Part 2!

The very essence of the "FEAR NOT" command as stated briefly in Part 1 is not that you can die for Jesus himself or anyone even if you are to become a martyr. The same Christian bible says Jesus died for you and everyone, which is the only death that ever successfully solved a problem of humans (sin) as Christians must interpret it and believe. What we're to basically understand is that even following Jesus is not like carrying a cross of roses! In a way, you are not safer in church by just minding "God's business" and must never be comfortable lest your worship be in vain. Choosing to follow Jesus is actually a life-long decision which is way too harder to sustain than ever following any politician or their ideologies!
One must be worried, be very afraid as it's now so scary indeed that our collective fear as a nation is even more contagious than Ebola. It could have been a great legacy had we, especially the current generation of young people, inherited the fearless spirit of the respectable, genuine and selfless liberators of the pre-1980 era; and their 20th century counterparts across Africa that fought all forms of colonialism with unbelievable determination. On the flip side, could it be that all fearless people of our nation perished in the war-fronts, or have since all died from related war casualties if not sponsored political violence that we now have a scarcity of people to spark such zeal of fearlessness to the whole nation?
In any case, should there be still any fearless freedom fighters they are definitely not those who demand any recognition for their voluntary (not-for-profit) contribution to the struggle for independence, but those who do know very well that they earned such recognition and no one can take it away from them. NO normal future and aspiring leader will ever afford to ignore or fail to acknowledge such a significant contribution to the nation, and such fearless cadres can never be unsettled even if their real contribution was to be subjected to an independent public audit. Even if a genuine empty-hand of appreciation was to be extended to such men and women of war, they will and must never refuse to accept it.
Moreso, the fear factor in the nation has undoubtedly become so cancerous such that, namely, all our desired freedoms, standards of living, human capital values and dignity have been completely eroded without any meaningful reaction. The odds are even against the nation as well given that this cancer though a bit similar to the behaviour of weevils, however, it cannot be gamatoxed as that's the only solution some are quick to think of in such "national pandemic" situations. We can only but wonder who has or could have bewitched us to be a nation of such unwise and fearful people. But, if we're indeed victims of any evil practices of witchcraft, hapana mumwe muroyi ngoba akekho omunye umthakathi but it's the very fear within ourselves as a people which is the main chief culprit practising such "dark science" against our nation!!
This article would remain incomplete if the words of the timeless world renowned philosopher are not included to perfectly conclude this subject of fear. Writing on the subject of taking "life and death" risks, Jean Jacques Rousseau somewhere inked it down writing on the ideas of a Social Contract which laid the foundation for democracy systems and says that "every man has a right to risk his own life in order to preserve it". He further illustrated this profound proclamation through a rhetorical question that's asks whether "has it ever been said that a man who throws himself out of the window to escape fire (from inside the house) is guilty of suicide?" The very act of throwing oneself in itself involves facing other risks like injuries or another possible death, but you will be escaping another form of excruciatingly painful form of death from inside the house. In case of emergency, remember, you must kick out the panel and jump outside of a vehicle especially on fire!
We have also known real-life examples, the fallen Dr Joshua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo (our late beloved Father Zimbabwe) is on verifiable archived records to have thrown himself out of the window (borders) of the country on numerous occasions in order to preserve his own life, which automatically was also intricately the soul of the liberation struggle at the time. On another note l may add, although still a matter shrouded in mysterious circumstances and a bit controversial, that had Rex Nhongo (aka Solomon Mujuru) managed to jump through the window of his farm house as gutted by that unexplained fire, that could not have been classified as a suicide attempt but ranked as deserving of another accolade of brevity to a seemingly well decorated soldier of his calibre at the time. May their souls rest in peace! Long live Zimbabwe! Tinoti /Sithi /Tuli/Ri khou ri SALUTE! (End).
