Conflicts in the MDC and Zanu-PF built over decades are divine

When the indigenous people are at the fore front of the struggle for economic, social and political freedom, then we are in the true atmosphere for Real Change.  When the poor people, jobless youths and the elderly are donating their hard earned cash, food stuffs at rallies and supporting in other logistical issues, it should ring in our minds that a small cloud like a man's hand is forming in Zimbabwe's political troposphere after decades of travailing in the wilderness. The struggle that is initiated by the people and from the  people is genuine, real and will drive the agenda of the nation towards restoration, development and national building bound by the spirit of true patriotism.  Like Elijah, Christians have been praying since the year 2000 for God to come down and bless the nation of Zimbabwe with healing, reconciliation and prosperity. Elijah was praying to God for the rain to come after three and half years of recurrent drought, by the time he saw a small cloud as small as a man's hand rising from the sea, that is when his faith grew and immediately announced of the abundance rain that was coming. The prayers for the nation that the Christian community has been praying for are being answered.  There is a cloud like a man's hand of real change and transformation that is forming upon the whole nation of Zimbabwe. The people have taken upon themselves the agenda of fighting for real change and transformation which is a gesture towards moving to our own freedom.

It is not a co-incident to see the young and economically active generation taking a leading role in the fight for political, economic and social justice.  Indeed, there is a political gap that needs to be filled up by the young and economic active generation in order to take the nation forward. The way how God himself is fighting the once two strong political formations (ZANU PF and MDC) that have been in existence for the past decades through factionalism, public fights and breakaways is a sign that the youths and the economically active generation should unite under the banner of nation building and take Zimbabwe out of its mess after nearly 15 years of wondering in the wilderness. God is doing his part as God by causing confusion and commotions in both of these two political parties. It is upon the ordinary poor people who are being affected by the socio-economic challenges to reciprocate the efforts of God by coming together and design a clear road map for the present generation and generations to come, waiting for 2018 elections.

The confusion, fights, antagonism and factionalism that we are seeing today in these two main political parties is divine.  The fights that we have witnessed between the MDC and ZANU PF for the past two and half decades won't change the political discourse of our country but will continue to act as an impediment to the development of the nation. It is not a rumour that the rise of the main opposition party in Zimbabwe has been dismissed by the founders of this nation citing numerous reasons including the failure to lay a vision with an agenda that is confined within the context of Zimbabwe's boarders and its interest. In a recent debate at Cresta Jameson Hotel, Honorable Douglass Mwonzora publicly admitted that his party had no vision for the past 15 years other than name calling.  On the other hand, the ruling party has failed to live by the founding principles that include upholding justice across the land, equal sharing of resources which was one of the ideals of the liberation struggle, failing to bring  meaningful, viable and sustainable development in the country and upliftment of the standard of living for its citizens. It has used all tactics to entertain the electorate with sweet empty promises during elections and has managed to plant seeds of enmity, failing to unite people across the entire political divide where the focus is on political survive rather than national building.  Zimbabwe has remained among few nations in Africa still using bushy policies to drive its national economic and social agenda. This is manifesting in high unemployment levels, food insecurity, and a weak social services delivery system among other ills.

The younger and economic productive generation which God is raising should build a national vision for development which is Pan African where we draw the precepts of our Ubuntu (as this will deal with a culture of political violence, hatred, intimidation and other ills like corruption, selfishness and greediness), patriotism premised on a strong value system  such as (accountability, integrity and fairness) and the fear of God which is the foundation of justice, love (anti – tribalism, anti-regionalism and anti-racism), righteousness and democracy.

The question that boggles one's mind is who will lead the young and the economically active generation?  Today, we have many political parties that share the same ideologies being led vibrant young and energetic people. Many people are suggesting that these political parties should collate to provide a strong opposition party. I really wonder how parties that are not even one year old can come together. Will this be not a coalition of leaders rather than the whole nation? What is important for these new and emerging leaders is to share common values and avoid ethical and social mistakes that were made by the people who went before them in the main opposition party.  I believe that the true leaders will surface in these emerging political parties.  One or two political parties will stand the test of time and with proper strategies will emerge to provide a platform of coalition among other opposition political parties. This political party will act as a pivotal and form the nucleus to all other political parties including the main opposition political party which has a swelled up leadership whilst the whole body is healthy.  It is interesting that come 2018, the young generation will contribute 80% of the electorate and they will participate as national leaders after 2018, contributing to the development of the nation.

Under a new political party that was formed in April 2014 called the African Democratic Party (ADP) lead by Marcellina Chikasha , people have started to gather and are organising themselves across the whole nation being spearheaded by young  and economically activity generation to cast a vision towards nation development. They gather themselves not because they are being given money, but they are attracted to a vision that will transform their lives and the lives of generations to come.  Most of these people are donating to the party in forms of their hard earned currency and food during meetings.  Better days are coming as being evident by the sacrifice being done by people including the poor in financing the struggle.  The true struggle is won through the spirit of commitment and well-conceived ideas and strategies.  The struggle should be an initiation of the people and from the people and not to be imposed upon the citizens.  New generation Kata!!!
