2 Zimbabweans, 4 Batswana arrested over SADC HQ gun robbery

Two Zimbabweans and four Batswana have been arrested over the January 14 gun robbery at the SADC headquarters in Botswana.
Eighteen laptops, six mobile phones and a camera all worth P500,000 (about US$43,000) were stolen in the raid.
Zimbabweans Tongai Tsikirayi, 38, and Innocent Bushri Shaggy, 31, appeared before the Village Magistrate Court in Gaborone on Monday charged with armed robbery. They were joined in the dock by the four Batswana suspects Mpho Rasetena, 28, Lesego Masilo, 33, Maitapiso Thuso Kgakgamatso, 37, and Otsile Semadi, 40.
Prosecutors said the six men were arrested around Gaborone on March 12. An undisclosed amount of foreign currencies and a gun were recovered during the arrests.
The court remanded them in custody to March 28 for routine remand.
Botswana is the headquarters of the regional trade bloc, SADC.
