Jah Prayzah reveals he wasn't a football fan until Scottland's rise

Popular musician Jah Prayzah has opened up about his newfound love for football, revealing that he was not a fan of the sport until the emergence of Scottland Football Club.
The musician has been spotted at several high-profile Scottland matches held at Rufaro Stadium, including their thrilling encounter against Harare City last year as the club chased the Northern Region Soccer League title.
At the intense derby between Scottland and Dynamos, Jah was seen proudly wearing a replica Scottland jersey, sparking curiosity about which team he supported before Scottland's rise.
Speaking to H-Metro, Jah Prayzah clarified his loyalty:
"I was not a soccer fan until Scottland. I am now supporting Scottland because Scott is my brother, and he has supported me in a big way. That is why I also support him and, in this case, Scottland."
Scott Sakupwanya, the club's owner and Jah's close friend, has evidently inspired the musician's dedication. Jah Prayzah was also one of the headline performers when Scottland launched their 2025 kit in February, ahead of their debut season in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Jah's connection to football extends beyond club support. In 2019, he released the single "Fambai Nebhora", a song dedicated to the Zimbabwe Warriors as they aimed to conquer the African football stage. That team featured notable stars like Knowledge Musona, George Chigova, Kuda Mahachi, Ronald-PFumbidzai, Ovidy Karuru, Evans Rusike, Edmore Sibanda, Nyasha Mushekwi, Tino Kadewere, Thabani Kamusoko, and Marvelous Nakamba.
Reflecting on his past, Jah admitted, "I always had an idea of what the game is all about but I never had a team that I supported."
With Scottland's growing prominence, Jah Prayzah has found not only a team to cheer for but also a brotherhood that has deepened his passion for the beautiful game.
