Notorious armed robber nabbed

A Notorious Shamva-based armed robber, Jani Janha, has been arrested after he left his belongings in a satchel inside their getaway car.
He was dragged to Bindura magistrates courts where he was remanded in custody to May 29 by magistrate Amos Mbobo.
The state alleged that on April 25, Janha and his accomplice, who are still at large armed with pistols, forced open Sortus Nyemba's house in Shamva and threatened to kill him and his wife if they did not surrender cash to them.
They ransacked the house and took $1900, 3 cellphones and a shotgun and a Toyota Vanet as a getaway car.
On the same day, around 2 a.m., they went to Aaron Gumbo's house and used the same modus operandi before walking away with $820 and two cell phones.
The robbers drove off in their getaway car and subsequently dumped it towards Bindura.
They left the engine running and forgot Janhi's satchel, which contained his copy of driver's license and cell phones.
