Zanu-PF defers MP reports submission
28 May 2014 at 09:33hrs | Views
Zanu-PF says quarterly performance reports from its members of the National Assembly have been affected by resource constraints, forcing the party to set a new time frame for submissions from the legislators.
Zanu-PF National Chairman, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo told journalists in Harare that the revised time frames for which the next reports are due is now at the end of May, end of August and end of November.
The party has created a unit headed by a directorate to receive quarterly performance reports from the members of parliament from all the 10 provinces.
Ambassador Moyo said while the party strives to transform the manifesto, which he said was well received by electorate, into a viable economic blueprint, members of parliament should strive to initiate projects and other empowerment programmes in their constituencies.
