Zimbabwe intra-party violence is tolerated

15 Jun 2018 at 13:43hrs | Views
Since day one of the election conversations, the word, "peace" or "non-violence" have been said several times in relation to elections, but now the question I pose is.....is the talking being practical and the answer we all know it and the perpetrators we know them.

Zimbabweans are witnesses too to the fact that it seems like intra-party violence is tolerated not only by the Zimbabwe Republic Police but by the political parties themselves too.  People have been victims of violence and intimidation but little or no action has been taken by those responsible for taking parental action. The actions of the law enforcers then makes any sane person to believe that only the ruling party has the right to protection from violence and the rest go to gymnasium and train to protect yourselves after all you won't be arrested for bashing your opponents. I was moved and surprised  by what happened at Chitungwiza Municipal Head Office yesterday, when the Chamisa faction began to attack our candidates who were filing their nomination papers. The worst part of it is that the attackers were candidates, aspiring leaders.....who does that under normal circumstances? And what action was taken to bring the perpetrators to book by the law enforcers? Well nothing was done just that the victims were isolated, but without tasting the just whip of the law the perpetrators are going to be problematic in the future again trust me.

Even our President Thokozani Khupe was abused and intimidated while the police and the international eyes were watching and it didn't happen once after all. Putting politics aside, seriously how can you abuse your mother like that? Calling her names, booing at her and throwing some stuff into her path. Charity begins at home the wise told us prior to our coming- so does political behavior too.

Well the sarcastic moment of the nomination court was to see the MDC Alliance filing it's papers including those of the famous hyberbolic advocate who's their presidential candidate. I didn't anticipate to see them there since they were of the mantra that "no election reforms, no elections". When I saw their candidates ....I couldn't hold my laughter. We said it before that our brothers and sister just failed to interpret the legal book a bit, there is no way a law can be bended to suit the demands of a certain people, the date of the elections was proclaimed already.

Do you still remember when our members started posting about SMART politics? Sometime back it is and unfortunately our SMARTINESS have been stolen to become a manifesto, I don't have much to say there....Harare youths I know you like Twitter scrow up our tweets. Certain individual would look at them with an eye of envy bearing the copy and paste mindset and indeed it came to pass.

On the other part of the ballot paper, Zimbabweans you're going to see a party of murderous, crooks in fact   CCO  (Chief Corruption Officers) claiming to be repentant yet the actions of their limbs a continued routine of their activities. We were promised 2m jobs and instead that number of street vendors have been created, we have been promised a non corrupt government which adheres to constitutionalism.....my foot. Our experiences tell us that those are just words.

Meaningful development Job creation and devolution is what you'll get when you vote MDC T  into office at ant level. A team of dedicated candidates we have who are not eager but have already buried our differences and  promotes equality and integrity for unity is power. It don't take meaningless or repeated non practable promises to change Zimbabwe. It only takes the courage to vote wisely, that is for Dr Khupe and her team. Zimbabweans are hard working people and they have suffered enough under antagonist government and they deserve good leadership which will give them descent lives.
