The scourge of politically motivated violence is back with reports of Zanu PF youths attaching MDC –T youths in Budiriro Harare. The usual story; Zanu PF youths attacked MDC-T youths wearing MDC-T regalia demanding that they take them off. Some of the MDC-T youths required hospital treatment following the attack and the Police stepped in and arrested a number of MDC-T youths for disturbing the peace. What is worse than the violence and Police bias is the reaction of the MDC-T members to this recurring national curse, the culture of violence.
"Zanu PF has not changed and violence continues to be part of their DNA. We urge the police to arrest the real perpetrators of violence and to release our innocent members immediately," said one MDC-T youth leader. He/she does not have the foggiest idea how their own stupidity has contributed to perpetuating this culture of violence and lawlessness.
Of course "Zanu PF has not changed and violence continues to be part of their DNA," you useless piece of s***t! How many times do you need to be told that the only way Zanu PF would have been forced to change was if MDC had implemented the democratic reforms. They had majority in the GNU parliament and five years to implement the reforms and yet failed to get even one reform implemented. Not one!
Tsvangirai and his follow MDC leaders traded in implementing the democratic reforms for his $4 million Highlands mansion and other trappings of office. MDC members have accepted their leaders being bribed by Mugabe and yet in their naïve childlike mentality expect the Police bias to end. How many times does one have to tell them that they cannot eat and keep their cake?
What these MDC supporters are failing to get into their thick damba (Trifoliate orange) heads is the MDC leaders they have blindly followed like sheep to the slaughter has betrayed not just them but the whole nation by failing to implement the democratic reforms. This scourge of violence would be behind us if Tsvangirai had not accepted Mugabe's bribe of the Highlands mansion. And worse still, and long as these MDC supporters continue to continue to support failed leaders like Tsvangirai, even after they have already proven to be corrupt and incompetent, then there is no hope of the nation ever ending this culture of violence, corruption and lawlessness.
Of course we have cause to fear the culture of violence, etc. but our fear is tampered with hope as long as we learn from our past mistakes and implement the changes necessary to end these man-made problems. What MDC supporters have shown again and again is that they are incapable of learning from the past, no reason or logic gets through that hermetically seal damba. Thirty, forty years from now they will still be talking of Zanu PF has not changed although MDC would have wasted a dozen chances to bring about meaningful change; that is what frightens the living day out of me!
