Open letter to Cde Robert Gabriel Mugabe - 'Cops losing faith'
10 Aug 2016 at 17:00hrs | Views
I want to bring this matter to the attention of the President Cde R.G. Mugabe. Junior police officers in the Zimbabwe Republic Police have became a cash cow for senior officers Mr President.
Their small salary is being taken away from them by senior officers through various means to the extent that Junior police officers are now destitute and hating your Government and your ZANU PF party for letting this happen to them. They are saying it started as Benevolent Fund in MatNorth and Senior Assistant Commissioner Veterai who was by then Officer Commanding MatNorth Province abused the funds. He diverted them to his own use. Then after that they say it's the buying of Stationery at all police stations in MatNorth. If you don't pay you are labbled MDC. Then come the raffle tickets, junior police officers are saying they are being forced to buy raffle tickets for the Commissioner General's fun fare.
If you don't buy those tickets you are MDC and the District Commanding Officers will be threatening that you will lose your job if you don't buy those tickets. And of cause the Commissioner General's book which every station was forced to buy and Junior officers are the ones who contributed money to buy that book. Now they are saying currently there is the SO called Police regalia which Junior police officers are being forced to buy at a whooping 50 dollars and this regalia Mr President they are saying is not even worth that much.
Mr President they begging you to ask the Commissioner General of Police what is really going on in his organization??? Someone is making money here Mr President while making Junior officers suffer. Junior police officers can hardly afford to feed their families, pay school fees for their kids and develop themselves because of constant demands of money and threats of being chased away from their jobs. The truth Mr President is that the junior rank and file have lost faith in this organization. We go to corruption Mr President. What do you expect from junior officers when money is being demanded from them day and night?????
They have parents to take care of too Mr President. The Commissioner General of Police is aware of this reaping of junior officers because he also did it when he forced them to buy his book. So Mr President the Commissioner General turns a blind eye to the junior officer's plight. Junior officers are being treated like slaves Mr President. Junior police officers no longer have rights to their salary Mr President. It's now useless to become a police officer. Junior officers are now discouraging their relatives from joining this organization which has turned out to be evil.
Mr President this organization is now evil for your own information coz it has Commanders who take away junior officer's hardly earned salaries to fatten their pockets. Mr President please ask the Commissioner General of Police where the 50×50 000 is going. I think you are aware that there are 50 000 police officers right. You multiply that by 50 dollars for the police regalia being paid by junior officers. Zvanyanya izvi. Enough is enough. Junior officer needs to enjoy his salary. Pasi nevanotora maridzevamwe. Mr President these Commanders are soiling your name. I strongly advise you to deal with them.
Someone is abusing his powers here Mr President and this is very bad considering that there are elections coming. Someone might be doing this so that the junior officers are disgruntled and bhora musango Mr President. And for sure junior police officers are already bitter, sick and tired of bosses constantly coming with all tricks to fleece the junior guy off his hard earned salary. Obviously the Commissioner General of Police will deny this but if you are really serious of finding the truth Mr President you will. Unless you are aware of what's going on in this organization. It's unfortunate that the junior officer out of desperation takes it all out to the innocent citizens of this country. I think everyone has seen the change in behaviour of today's junior officers, be it at roadblocks or wherever. Pease Mr President. Rectfy this anomaly because it's already worse am afraid. Thank you very much for your time Mr President and, Good lucky.
Regards
MK
