Teams to represent the country in the CAF Champions League and the Confederations Cup competitions are set to be confirmed on Wednesday with Bulawayo giants, Highlanders hoping to have their CAF ban lifted ahead of the 30 November deadline.

Highlanders were slapped with a 3-year ban by CAF for not participating in the CAF Confederations Cup despite being registered.

After an appeal, the Bulawayo giants are hoping that CAF revokes the ban to allow them to participate in the Confederations Cup if they win the Mbada Diamonds Cup.

Highlanders who missed out on the league championship are still harbouring hopes of representing the country on the African safari after ZIFA lodged their appeal for a ban lift to CAF.

Bosso can only qualify for the Confederations Cup if they overcome How Mine in the Mbada Diamonds Cup final on Saturday.

ZIFA Communications Manager, Xolisani Gwesela told reporters that the local football governing body is still awaiting communication from CAF on the Highlanders appeal.

The deadline for registering clubs for CAF competitions is 30 November.

Dynamos will represent Zimbabwe in the CAF Champions League after piping Highlanders and Harare City to the title.
