Ariel Sibanda crowned Bosso's 2016 best player

It was a night of glitz and glamour as Highlanders hosted its awards ceremony where shot stopper Ariel Sibanda was crowned the club's best player for the just ended season.
On a Friday night when the current club players and administrators met their yesteryear counterparts, the whole of the Highlanders family came together to honour the most outstanding players for 2016.
The ceremony was graced by some of Tshilamoya's illustrious sons like Mark Watson, Doughty Sithole, Lawrence Phiri, Douglas Muloyi, Barry Daka, Billy Sibanda and Josiah Nxumalo to name a few.
Guest of honour at the event Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries president Busisa Moyo who was represented by the general manager of Holiday Inn Chiku Mulinde called on all Highlanders stakeholders to closely guard the club's legacy while advising current players to emulate the yesteryear greats who sacrificed everything for Bosso.
Highlanders acting chairperson Modern Ngwenya called for unity as the best way for the club to move forward.
Then came the highlight of the night as the best players were honoured with goalkeeper Ariel ‘Mangoye' Sibanda crowned the best player for the 2016 season.
Other awards saw Ray Lunga, son to Gift Lunga Senior being voted the most promising player in the Division One side with the most promising senior player award going to Prince Dube.
Most improved player was won by Peter Muduhwa with the most consistent player award going to Simon Munawa while the longest serving player accolade went to Eric Mudzingwa.
Tendai Ngulube walked away with the award for the most disciplined player.
The top goal scorer award was scooped by Bruce Kangwa who now turn out for AZAM FC in Tanzania while the players' player of the year award was taken by Rahman Kutsanzira.
