Prolific dancehall singer Wallace Chirumiko - affectionately known as Winky D - will release his highly-anticipated single entitled "Panorwadza Moyo" today. The single features Oliver Mtukudzi and was produced by Prince "Oskid" Tapfuma of Oskid Productions.
The song will be played on air for the first time during today's Star FM "Hate It/Rate It" breakfast show with Nicki Ndoro and Ephraim Tagu (ET).
A post on Winky D DiBigman facebook page noted, "The track, creatively blends dancehall, Tuku music with a melody and poetic lyrics that can only be of extra-terrestrial origin.
"The single will kick off the countdown for Winky D's next studio album. 'Panorwadza Moyo' will première today at 8am on 'Hate It/Rate It' on StarFm (www.starfm.co.zw)."
In an interview, Winky D's manager Jonathan Banda said the day has finally come for fans to sample one of the musician's projects.
"We are happy that this is the day. The single which we are releasing is amongst other projects.
"In few weeks or months we are going to give you another project.
"People are different, when others talk about a single or album. We treat our material as projects," he said.
Asked about videos, Banda said they are working on something.
"We are always shooting and we work with the best," he said.
Winky D has managed to stand his ground with singles that always dominate charts and scoop awards.
Will his next project outshine "Disappear" from the album "Kickstape (Gafa Life)", released end of 2015?
"Disappear" made it on BBC Radio 1 Extra Destination Africa Top 5, and this time around, the artiste is planning to drop another studio project during the same period.
Recently the Ninja president sampled two tracks, which wowed fans at Mafikizolo concert held at Belgravia Sports Club.
