Progressive Democrats of Zimbabwe Party President Barbara Nyagomo has expressed deep sympathy with some Zimbabwean refugees in South Africa who are struggling to acquire asylum status documents amid revelations one of them has spent two days without food and has no fixed abode.
"My heart bleeds. Going through my Facebook Inbox (my Social Media office) there is a brother in Gaunteng Province South Africa going through the Asylum Application process who has not had food for 2 days and of no fixed abode(no accommodation)," said Nyagomo who is also a philanthropist based in the United Kingdom.
"He is just 1% of many thousands in that situation. Anyone in South Africa who can support him please inbox me."
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Africa Diaspora Forum Chair Jean Py. A Lukamba for the support they are giving to many refugees in South Africa and for leading in the fight against xenophobia," she added.
