The court heard that the complainant in the matter is Sun Casino Bulawayo represented by Patson Magwegwe an accountant.

The court was told that the accused are all former employees of Sun Casino Bulawayo and was based at the ZITF and during their employ Mutamiri who had a technical know how would connive with other accomplices to fraudulently manipulate the atronic slot machines system by adding  credits to the slot slots cards directly from the slot machines.

He would inset into the atronic machine a slot card with a small or zero balance and open the slot machine door using the key to connect the jackpot cables and thereafter close. He would then eject the slot card with a higher balance then when it was inserted which would then be cashed out in connivance with the other accomplices.

As a result of the fraudulent activities Sun Casino was prejudiced of thousands of dollars and a report made to the police after the offence was discovered led to the arrest of the crime syndicate.
