A military parade for Retired Lt-Col Eddie Sigoge Mlotshwa who died on Sunday last week at Mater Dei Hospital will be held tomorrow at Imbizo Barracks followed by the cremation of the body on Tuesday, a family representative said yesterday.
Mr Peter Mgqibelo Mlotshwa an elder brother to Rtd Lt- Col Sigoge said the military parade would be held at 11am.
"On Monday there will be a military parade at Imbizo Barracks. We leave home at 9am because the parade will be at 11 am. The body will then be taken by the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) from the mortuary.
"After the parade the body will go back to the mortuary, then in the evening it will be brought back home and lie in state over night. After that it goes back to the mortuary again getting ready for cremation," said Mr Mlotshwa.
A military parade is a memorial or burial rite given by a country's military in honour of a prominent military figure.
Mr Mlotshwa said the cremation would be done on Tuesday but they were yet to confirm the time.
Rtd Lt- Col Sigoge was from a special class of senior commanders in the Zimbabwe People's Revolutionary Army (Zipra) and an accomplished military instructor.
Mourners are gathered at 70309 Lobengula West.
